Rincón del Socorro is immersed in The Iberá National Park where diverse natural ecosystems can be found: several temporarily flooded grasslands known as malezales, beautiful Caranday palm groves, broomsedges, savannas, espinal woodlands and gallery forests. In addition, the Reserve offers a great view of the vast wetlands that constitute the core of the Iberá.

The greatest development of the reintroduction of fauna has taken place in this Reserve, where colonies of giant anteaters, pampas deer and collared peccaries have been established. Currently, Rincón del Socorro is the only place in Argentina that harbors these three mammal species. In addition, there are many capybaras, marsh deer, brocket deer, black howlers, foxes, viscachas and rheas. It’s also possible to see the weird maned wolf, the neotropical river otter and the crab-eating raccoon.
